The museum is housed within the Audi Forum Ingolstadt which also hosts conferences and restaurants.
In the Audi Museum, there is a permanent exhibition going all the way back to 1899 running up to 1945. In a separate floor, the museum covers 1946 through to 2000. In total, there are more than 100 cars and motorcycles on display. There are also multimedia and hands-on exhibits.
Audi, created by engineer August Horch in 1910, consolidated its brand in 1932 when it joined with Wanderer and DKW to form Auto Union under the “four rings” emblem. From 1969, Audi became the primary brand rather than just a model name.
There are guided tours and a museum shop. There is also a cinema showing documentaries and short films. There are a number of restaurants and parking is available. There are conference facilities in the Audi Forum Ingolstadt.
