There are a large number of exhibition halls covering different types of technology. Here are those dedicated to showing off cars.
The car exhibition at the Technik Museum Sinsheim is a continuous exhibition of over 300 vintage cars from all eras. This includes cars from the beginning of the automotive industry, with a Model T Ford representing one of those first produced on a conveyor belt, presented by Mors Kettenwagen, through to the modern era with a DeLorean DMC-12.
The exhibition comprises almost everything that has ever travelled on wheels in the streets of the world, from the motor coach to Rolls-Royce luxury cars. Legendary German classics such as the Opel Super 6 or French Bugattis are on show. Most exhibition pieces are on loan from members of their funding association, are frequently driven, and are therefore often changed.
MODERN SPORTS CARS
Aston Martin, Jaguar, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche cars are all on display as examples of the very best of automotive sports car production.
SMALL CARS OF POST-WAR GERMANY
A mere five years after the end of World War II came the advent of the exciting 1950s. Few could even afford a reasonably functional bicycle after the war. More often than not funds were not sufficient to buy and maintain a car until small cars gradually began to appear. The permanent exhibition “Goggomobil & Co.” exhibits more than a dozen of these vehicles and provides a view into Goggo and Co. and the post war period of Germany.
FORMULA-1 AND MOTORSPORT
In addition to many classics of Bugatti, Mercedes and many more, the museum presents a large permanent formula-1 exhibition next to a collection of historical race cars.
The museum is located only a few kilometers away from the Hockenheim-Circuit.
