MUSEUM TYPE
This is not a museum, it is a centre of excellence for the restoration of classic motor cars.

OPENING
Check website for details and for special events open to the public.

DESCRIPTION
This not a museum but a collection of experts who can help with auto and aero restoration. This is the UK’s first park dedicated to the restoration, storage and enjoyment of vintage and classic cars, motorcycles and aeroplanes. In total they plan to have 50 units housed in 40 refurbished red brick buildings to support the technical side and will have space for 500 vehicles to be stored on site.
The heritage centre also hopes to see Bicester Heritage as a home for car clubs, offering smaller and larger marque clubs alike a space to store their archives, host their AGMs and car meets.

Bicester Heritage is home to two established events which regularly feature in the national and historic motoring press; the Sunday Scramble and Flywheel Festival. In addition to these, Bicester Heritage has also been the venue for other events; Brightwells Bicester Classic and Vintage Car Auctions and Build It Live.

HISTORY
The heritage centre has been created on 348 acres of an historic 1920s RAF bomber station located close to the M40 motorway. They have refurbished and restored the redbrick buildings, hangars, tree-lined avenues and airfield.
